Configuring the database for MQM

MQM currently supports MySQL and MSSQL Server database products. The DB configuration page can be accessed in two ways.

• Start -> Programs -> Mcafee -> Quarantine Manager -> DB Management UI 
• Start -> Programs -> Mcafee -> Quarantine Manager -> Admin UI -> DB Configure hyperlink

On this page, the database details like db type, server name, db name, username, password, port should be provided. To verify database connection, click on Test button. To save database configuration details click on Apply. While saving the configuration details, Windows admin credentials should be entered when prompted for password.

If a schema needs to be created on an empty database, check Create Quarantine Manager schema and then click on Apply. This will create the necessary tables. If this is checked, super administrator email address and password should be given. If this box is unchecked, Only the database details are saved to the configuration file.

After configuring the database, we can log on to MQM Admin UI.
